We enjoyed the exceptional breakfast, beautiful grounds, and friendly staff. The hotel is located in a lovely established neighborhood, walking distance from nice restaurants, and right next to the UW horticultural gardens.
Nothing to complain about at all.

It's in a beautuful, natural setting in the midst of the city. Conducive to early morning walks and quiet comfort, still not far from city-center and many amenities of city life.
The lodging was built as an adjunct to the conferencce center and is still run as such. Room size and housekeeping (towels/soaps) seem to be designed for the single traveler (conference attendee). Still, I consider it a "find".

It was spacious and secluded, even though we were in the middle of Seattle. The staff was friendly and had a sense of humor. The price was excellent.
The room seemed a bit small but that's all that I didn't like. Everything else was great.

Beautiful grounds and the feeling of being in a forest in the city. The whole concept of the place as a think tank designed for isolation from everyday concerns makes it a very unique place. The staff were all outstandingly friendly and helpful.
The climate control system in the rooms was difficult to regulate. We stayed twice and the rooms had different thermostats that responded more like we were giving them suggestions, rather than specific temperatures.

Gorgeous grounds, great neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, easy parking, dogs allowed.
Room needed some updates (old baseboard heaters) and the HVAC was a little noisy (we had a dog with us and were in a dog-friendly room, so we may have been given a room that was not recently updated for that reason).

Located in a charming neighborhood with green areas, beautiful houses, and is nearby many restaurants and shopping options. You can take a stroll to the botanical gardens at UDub and the University Village Shopping which has several restaurants. the hotel is relatively close to Seattle Children's Hospital, meaning it's an optimal choice for those with appointments in the hospital. the area is very safe and within walking distance of the University.
The location may not be conveniently located for those looking to stay in the downtown Seattle area.

The parking was far from the room... but that is all I can think of I did not like.

Lovely surroundings. Nearness to University Village. Convenient to all of city.
Mattress like waterbed. Not appropriate for elderly, as they have joint problems.

We stayed at Talaris Conference Center for its convenient location near Seattle Children's Hospital. The setting was absolutely wonderful, surrounded by 18 acres of trees and even spotting deer and bald eagles. The friendly and helpful staff made our 10-day stay enjoyable, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. Although the rooms were basic, they were comfortable and sufficient for our needs. we highly recommend staying at Talaris Conference Center for its beautiful setting, helpful staff, and delicious breakfast.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The service was very efficient and always with a very warm and genuine smile. The location was great (near the University and may restaurants). The water fountains were beautiful.
We rented 2 different rooms during our 3-day stay. The first one was great. The second one had some constant clicking and bumping sounds coming from the roof (we were on the second floor so there is no one above us), from the walls and from the air-conditioning unit. We guessed that those noises came probably from the HVAC system. The first night we could not sleep well because of them. The second night, we kept the CD player in the room that comes with soft Piano music on the whole night and it helped a bit.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in a beautiful residential neighborhood, just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle. The value for money here is outstanding, with prices that won't break the bank. The staff is friendly and attentive, paying attention to every detail to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms, spread across a variety of buildings, are well-equipped with all the essentials and even offer extras like fireplaces and balconies. Plus, the complimentary breakfast surpasses most places, with a wide variety of options and even toppings for oatmeal. And let's not forget the breathtaking views of a bald eagle's nest from some of the rooms, truly a unique and memorable experience.
All was more than OK during my stay.
